Golfo Mistico
artwork for the record polvere, ten years after quello che rimane
Golfo Mistico are a small band from Bologna, formed in 2013. Their songs come out of a late-night world of tavern tables and wine smoke, carried on blues rhythms and gypsy cadences. I started working with them ten years ago, when I signed the artwork for their first album, Quello che rimane, as Brochendors Brothers.
For the new record, Polvere, I did the illustration and the cover design.
For this new chapter I picked up the thread of the world we set out on the first record, and let it age ten years without losing its spirit.
The result is a clean mirrored diptych, the drawing following the way time settles — exactly in step with the band’s sound.
