MARC – Reggio Calabria
an illustrated video guide for the family kit of the national archaeological museum
The National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria holds millennia of history, from the treasures of Magna Graecia to the magnetic Riace Bronzes. To make that vast collection accessible and engaging, MARE Labo designed a Family Kit built on Design for All principles.
Within the project I co-devised the format of the whole environmental video guide and made every drawing in it — an inclusive tool aimed not only at under-twelves but also at young people with intellectual disabilities.

LIVE

We chose a brisk, lively pace, letting the illustrations work against a voice-over narration. There is a video for each room, where the drawings do not passively describe the objects but send people out to look around and picture what they are hearing.

The journey of listening and looking was conceived to tie into an interactive treasure hunt, turning the visit into something active that works on its own across every floor.

The result is an inclusive tool that turns the complexity of archaeology into something dynamic and genuinely absorbing.
