about

hello!

fede, nice to meet you.

Freelance.
Designer.
Illustrator.
Front-end.

I was drawing long before I called it work.
The rest came along so I could understand better what I was drawing.

The path

Every project teaches me to look harder at the next one.

Drawing was the starting point. Then came publishing, graphic design and the web.
Now I use all of it at once, without worrying much about the labels.

Drawing

Everything starts there.

Publishing

It taught me rhythm.

Front-end

It taught me structure.

Illustration

It taught me concision.

outside the studio

The things that interest me end up in the work sooner or later.

I went to a classics-based secondary school in Florence, then studied Communication and Fine Arts in Bologna.
I have lived in Germany and travelled in Asia, and I read a lot of comics.
Drawing is still the most direct way I know of understanding things.

collaborations

I like working with people who put love into what they do.

exhibitions and awards

Now and then the work leaves the studio.

other projects

Not everything I do is called effeemmezeta.

Some work has taken a different route. Collectives, publishing projects, collaborations built around a shared idea. They were not detours: I consider them part of the same path.

If you have a project, tell me about it.

We’ll work out together what shape it could take.
