Aidone Archaeological Park
an illustrated video telling the stories of a very old town
The Archaeological Park of Morgantina and the area around Aidone, inland from Enna, hold some of the most important historical and archaeological evidence in inner Sicily.
To tell that heritage to younger visitors, the park chose the Family Kit, a set of exploration tools MARE Labo supplies to museums to make visits accessible and inclusive along Design for All principles.
Within that frame I co-devised the format of the whole environmental video guide and made every drawing in it — a tool aimed not only at under-twelves but also at young people with intellectual disabilities.

We chose a register that is clear but lively, letting the illustrations work against a voice-over narration. The structure runs as a series of videos where the drawings map the route and add a layer of direct interaction on the ground. The images and the narrator do not simply describe the place: they keep putting questions and visual challenges to the young visitors to move the discovery along.
The result is a self-contained digital tool, usable straight from a phone, that turns exploring the park and the village into something active, playful and genuinely inclusive.
